If you ever wondered what caused the recent Mideast crisis, then listen to this interview on Sky News. It offers the true explanation of the cause of the war. It is a must see.
I know I said I won’t write about politics, but this interview shouldn’t be missed.

The Importance of Being “Sees” August 6, 2006

Nope, I won’t explain what that word up there means…
Some guy I know goes by the name of Haitham Issam (aka Sees) and he has been complaining about me going to limelite everyday. He thinks the food sucks, the place stinks and the shisha is crap. Well guess what, I’m in limelite now, and who is sitting beside me??? Yep you got it right, the Sees himself. Sometimes I wonder whether he is skitsofranic. Maybe oneday I will understand the importance of being “sees”.

Nonsense August 3, 2006

Was quite a long day today, nevertheless enjoyable. Here I am sitting in a cafe at 1:40 am and typing away like a nerd. Politics is starting to annoy me, so I decided to stop writing about that. The last thing I want is this site to become another “news agency” wanna be blog, however I might still share a few cartoons every now and then.
The sole purpose of this blog is to write pure nonsense, and I don’t want to get carried away with world events. The vision was nonsense… and nonsense it shall be.
Oh by the way, before I forget… peeps, you must go out there and read “Sophie’s World” by Jostein Gaarder. It’s quite an old book, but by far one of the best I’ve read. If you are not into philosophy then you might as well ignore my recommendation. Here is a link for those interested:

Oh crap, I just ordered pasta, and I forgot to tell them that I don’t want cheese on it! There goes dinner.

Condoleezza’s Diplomacy August 1, 2006

Was browsing through Daryle Cagle’s website and I came across this interesting cartoon. It’s funny how it sums up the United States’ policy towards the current Mideast crisis. Whether you believe the U.S is deliberately preventing a ceasefire resolution or not, the bottom line is… nothing is being done about it.
It’s somewhat of a surprise that the world’s superpower.. the idol for freedom, democracy and liberty stands back to watch war crimes being committed. I wouldn’t even say watch, because that would imply a neutral stance. On the contrary, the aggressor continues to push forward with mass killings under the umbrella of “self defence” and U.S blessing. Well, you don’t have to be a genius to tell that self defence has nothing to do with it. So much for freedom, democracy and old rhetoric.
Someone once said “seeing is believing”, how much more does the world have to see before a ceasefire comes to action?.
You may very well disagree with what I say, feel free to voice your thoughts.

Nothing beats a place with good food and good “shisha” (for those who don’t know what that is… it’s a long story). It’s a perfect way to relax after an annoying day at work.
Time for me to kick back and enjoy the company…
NB. Smoking kills.
I love my job! August 1, 2006

One of the worst things in life is to get up in the morning and say “oh shit, I have to go to work”. For those who don’t know much about me, I work for a reputable (well maybe not so reputable!) company in their business development department. Now the nice thing about business development is that you don’t go through a day to day routine, it’s a very challenging career where you run around like a headless chicken making sure you create new business opportunities, develop and implement corporate strategies and make sure your company maintains a competitive edge amidst vicious competition. Now all this sounds pretty exciting, even for me! But when you work in a company that is not employee oriented, then no matter how much you love your job you still feel like shit! (Oops, I didn’t say that did I?).
As you probably noticed, I am still at work now, frustrated and tired.. I couldn’t find a better way to vent other than throw the burden at you guys… hehe yes I love you.
Maybe it’s time for me to move on.
